      Edith Kurtz, age 93 of Plano, Texas passed away January 22, 2015 in Plano, Texas. She was born May 11, 1921 in Houston, PA, to Louis and Thelma Alberda. She married Frank William Kurtz February 9, 1945 in Worcester, Massachusetts. After she and Frank retired, they moved to South Texas where they learned the art of decorating duck and ostrich eggs and traveled all over the state showing and selling their beautiful creations.

      She is survived by her daughter, Priscilla Field of Plano, Texas; brother, Charles Alberda of Whitinsville, Massachusetts; six grandchildren, Jason Field and wife Rebecca of Richmond, Texas, Byron Clough and wife Audrey of New Lebanon, New York, Rebecca Clough of Salt Lake City, Utah, Melanie Clough Weitz of Fultonville, New York, Kurt Clough Of Charleston, New York, and Paul Clough and wife Barbara of Little Falls, New York; Sixteen Great-Grandchildren: Bailey and Brenna Field; Kendall Huey; Jodi, Cameron (Sara), Allyson, Allysia, Allana, Colin, Tarah, Canden, Regina, Nicolette, and Austin Clough; William (Crysta) and Ryan Weitz; and two great-great grandchildren; Kyle and Emma Clough; along with several other loving family members and friends.

      Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kurtz; daughter, Joanne Clough Snyder; sister, Elsie Crosby and her parents.

      The family will receive friends during a visitation Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. A graveside service will follow the visitation Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.

      We would like to thank the loving care given to Edith, during her time of need, by the caregivers at The Medical Center of Plano and Heart to Heart Hospice.
